Description
Queen Emma Bridge is Willemstad's famous floating pontoon bridge, known locally as the 'Swaying Old Lady.' Connecting the historic districts of Punda and Otrobanda, this 167-meter bridge supported by 16 pontoons offers an unforgettable pedestrian experience.
Built in 1888, the bridge opens sideways to let ocean-going ships pass - a fascinating spectacle of engineering. In the evening, the bridge sparkles with thousands of lights, creating a magical atmosphere.
As you walk across the bridge, you can admire the colorful houses along St. Anna Bay and experience the authentic atmosphere of Curaçao.
