高台民居

高台民居 are unique ancient houses with more than 600 years of history, located on the northeastern edge of Kashgar's Old City.

They impress with their unusual architecture - the buildings are built on a high cliff, with a distinctive floor plan that creates a picturesque maze of narrow, winding streets.

It's a living museum of traditional Uyghur architecture, with pottery workshops and stores selling intangible cultural heritage, including tea stores, weaving workshops and stores selling traditional Yingjisha knives.
