Alberobello (ba)

Alberobello (ba) is a unique town in the Puglia region, famous for its distinctive trulli houses - white, conical buildings listed by UNESCO. The town is divided into two historic districts: the lively Rione Monti, with over 1,000 trulli, and the quieter, more authentic Rione Aia Piccola.

Worth seeing are the Trullo Siamese - connected houses with a romantic love triangle story, the monumental Trullo Sovrano and the 1927 St. Anthony Church. Local stores offer olive wood handicrafts and traditional weaving products.

Best visited early in the morning, avoiding summer tourist crowds.
