Park Opatovina

Park Opatovina is a green oasis in the heart of Zagreb, named after the abbot of a Cistercian monastery. The six gardens, which once belonged to buildings on Kaptol Street, were transformed into a public promenade after World War II.

The park is home to Kaptol's best-preserved tower, the Prišlin Tower, which stands in the northwest corner. In spring the park blooms with colorful flowers, and in autumn it delights with its changing leaves.

It is an ideal place for a picnic, a stroll or just relaxing among nature in the center of the city. Occasional local events and festivals are held here, adding to the charm of this peaceful place.
