Description
Ahu Te Pito Kura is a fascinating historical monument on Easter Island, also known as the 'Navel of the World'. It is one of the most important ceremonial platforms (ahu) on the island, where the largest moai - a statue almost 10 meters high - once stood.
Next to the platform is a round stone that, according to legend, contains magical energy and was brought to the island by the first king Hotu Matu'a. The site exudes a mystical atmosphere and allows you to feel the mysterious history of Rapa Nui culture.
