Description
Abbaye Saint-Pierre is a historic Benedictine abbey founded in the 10th century. Despite destruction during the Hundred Years' War, magnificent remains remain, including the Chapter Hall with its collection of sculptures.
The site is famous for preserving Latin traditions and Gregorian chant in the liturgy. It is an important stop for pilgrims following the Chemin de Saint-Jacques du-Puy route.
A guided summer tour allows you to discover the secrets of the ancient monks who also built the old houses and mill here in the Middle Ages.
